…sort of. Oh, I’m not done writing, not by any stretch of the imagination! Lo contrare, I’m THRILLED to announce that I have begun work on my new Christian fiction post-apocalyptic series entitled “The End.” It’s clean fiction, with zero profanity, zero sex or drugs or bullying – or aliens! (Although look out for Easter eggs referring to Dissonance!) It’s a unique trilogy that I’m sure is going to make its mark.
“THE END” takes place in 2113. I just knew that when I was done with Dissonance, I had to work on something epic and overtly Christian, and I’m utterly proud to be working on this. I’m currently at 127 pages, and it’s coming along really, really well. Get ready for a year of new book signings and release parties, because this one is going to be a whopper! Here’s the synopsis:
When Constantine Jedidiah Goodfellow shot up through the senate, people were all-too surprised and delighted to see someone in the prime of life wanting to heal wounds, bring people together, and bring peace, so they elected him President.
His aim, however, was to bring the exact opposite.
The year is 2113, and Christianity is under siege. A massive virus has torn across the planet and killed off half of the world’s population and its leaders. Goodfellow, having changed his name to “Nero” in honor of the Roman emperor, has declared himself de facto leader over the remainder of mankind, and commenced the eradication of Christianity.
In a small community outside Chicago, Illinois, eighteen-year-old Sage Maddox is endowed with wisdom and street smarts well beyond his years. Though his entire family has been killed off by Sentinels – ruthless killing machines dispatched by Nero – he is determined to do his part to bring much-needed justice and restore safety to Christians throughout the world. There’s just one thing…
Nero is waiting for him.

In other news, the prequel, Dissonance Volume Zero: Revelationis DONE! I started it on 4.29.24 and finished it yesterday, 5.16.24. As with Dissonance Volume I: Reality, it took me only three weeks to write it. CRAZY! It’s deeply moving, stirring, and had me bawling at points. Not kidding. You see what this family went through when the gorgons came. I’m so happy I didn’t move on after the trilogy was done because this prequel is POWERFUL. It’s been submitted to my wonderful wife for editing!
And in more news, Screenwriter Alan Roth is working hard on the screenplay for Dissonance Volume I: Reality, and I am giggling with anticipation like an 11-year-old schoolgirl. So exciting!
And in yet still OTHER news, I get to host an author signing at Barnes & Noble! They’re carrying my books, so on August 10th at the Olympia branch I’ll be signing books. Check the News page: this summer is chalk-full of signings and trade show booths. Super stoked!
